How did the Country Alliance come into existence ?

The Country Alliance was formed out of concerns expressed by groups with long and traditional links with regional Victoria, including loggers, fishermen, shooters and bush users.

A series of meetings between concerned groups led to the formation of the Country Alliance in the first half of 2004.

The noticeable thing about the concerns expressed by these groups, is that they have common concerns about governments that have cared more about the agenda of urban based greenies than unsubstantiated policy decisions which are having real and detrimental impacts on regional Victoria.
