Who is behind the Country Alliance?
The Country Alliance was formed out of concerns across a number of regional based groups, including loggers, fishermen, shooters, farmers and bush users. Those who formed the party covered those five areas with one member from each area and the current executive now has nine, with an even broader constituency.
The basis of their concerns have common themes to them - governments of both persuasions have been pandering to whatever urban based 'greenies' wanted and a recognition this was compromising traditional regional values.
