Why has Country Alliance run split tickets?
Our next election is some time away and it won't be until a month or so before the election that we know where the preferences from each of the parties flow.
There would therefore seem little point - if we are to be true to our word on focussing on local issues - to lock in deals, if at all.
The other aspect to this is that we may well run different strategies in the lower house to those in the upper house. We'll decide that later on.
